Dermaplaning results typically last 3 to 4 weeks, as this is the natural skin cell turnover cycle. Since it removes dead skin and peach fuzz, you’ll notice smoother, brighter skin right away, but new skin cells and hair will gradually grow back.

• Avoid exfoliating for 3-5 days before your appointment. To prevent over-exfoliation, do not use retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or scrubs.
• Stay hydrated.
• Do not remove facial hair (waxing, threading, tweezing) for at least a week before dermaplaning, as it can make the skin more sensitive.
• Avoid wearing makeup, moisturizer, or any skincare products on the day of your appointment.

• Avoid sun exposure for at least 48 hours after treatment, and wear SPF 30 or above.
• Avoid harsh skin care regimens for 24-48 hrs after your treatment. Avoid retinol, AHAs, BHAs, scrubs or acne treatments to help prevent irritation.
• Use gentle cleansers, hydrating serums, and soothing moisturizers.
• Avoid intense workouts, saunas, or hot showers for 24 hrs after your treatment. Excessive heat can irritate freshly exfoliated skin.
